In addition to Japanese-style painting, which is my main occupation, I also create illustrations in the hope that many people will become familiar with illustration. This is a completely different medium from Japanese-style painting. I use Copic markers, which are also used by professional cartoonists. Other unpublished illustrations and Japanese paintings are posted on my website.

私の本業は日本画家 加藤由利子です。イラストは趣味(得意)で描いてますよ。作品はポップな感じで夢のあるようなファンタジーを取り入れ楽しんで描いています。人物像もポジティブな感じなので気軽な感じで、よろしくお願いします。

作品の題名は「シェラちゃん」
「Laposh」とは、私が勤務している父の会社、(有)伊豆プラ内のブランド商品；メモリーカード収納ケースの商品名です。ブランド商品化に辺り、私なりのひらめきで「福を呼ぶ」と言えば「おたふく」と動物を合体させ可愛らしいキャラを誕生。商品フタ部分に私の日本画やイラストを印刷し会社に貢献。商品化のために印刷された作品も私のHPに幾つか掲載有り。

The
title of this work is "Sierra-chan".
"Laposh" is the brand name of a product for memory card storage cases in
my father's company, Izu Pla Corporation, where I work. In creating this brand
product, I had an idea to combine the word "otafuku", which means
"bringing good luck", with an animal to create a cute character. I
contributed to the company by printing my Japanese paintings and illustrations
on the lid of the product. Some of the works printed for the commercialization
of the product can be found on my website.
